Just saw the piece a minute ago. It was fun. It's unfortunate that it took a looming commuter rail strike to bring this about but the hosts were taking about the Long Island Railroad negotiations, and said that we have a real LIRR train right here in the studio...They had a loop of fastrack around their coffee table and Ken and Gary (? sorry if I got it wrong) from Trainworld talked about how this Lionel LIRR has zoomed in value on eBay from its original list in the $200 range. The hosts were very complimentary about the train..said it had all the markings of the LIRR, lights etc....how great it looked. And there was an interior shot at the end of the Trainworld store. So congratulations guys on a nice plug. I hope for everyone's sake the strike is averted. But it got Lionel on TV in NYC at 9 o clock in the morning. Not bad!

Good publicity.
Anybody get shot there?
Nice video. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks for posting the video.
Congrats to the Trainworld guys, and thanks for promoting the hobby!
Good video though the LIRR train was not the greatest in quality. Weak motor and dodgy trucks.
Great piece! Every little bit of publicity for our great hobby and the people within in the hobby, is helpful. Most people have long forgotten what toy trains were all about. To re-acquaint many of these folks to "0" gauge toy trains can help us all preserve the future of the hobby.

Good plug, Trainworld! Glad to see posters are tapping that FOX demographic.
Well we had an amazing time today. What a rush! We got a call yesterday and rushed everything together so we could get the M7 LIRR set on. Only appropriate for a looming strike! The best part of the whole day was the whole staff and guests were coming up to us and telling us their own train stories! Trains are truly apart of American history. Seems like everyone has had a train set at one point or their parents/grandparents ran it for them when they were little.

Good job guys!!!! Hard to do anything in that amount of time....but you guys did it!
Congrats! Great job guy's. Maybe they'll have you back for Christmas!
Was I the only one to notice that the hosts referred to the store as "TrainWorld" and it is on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. TrainWorld is in Brooklyn, Trainland is in Lynbrook.

I think it's the same thing owner is it not????
Great to see the hobby promoted like this. Three segments over the course of a two hour show.
Andy
Ken, congrats on appearing on the show. Nice segment.

True, they are owned by the same people, but it could be confusing to those that don't where the two stores are located.
