I just got a phone call from Trainworld/Trainland customer service.  I had to castigate her on her phone manner.  She was SO nice... SO sweet... and SO professional that I almost didn't believe that she was in the train business!

She laughed, and said that she gets that all the time.

And this must mean that my LionChief Plus 2.0 K4s is on the way!

That’s kind of funny with my being from Brooklyn and being used to the foulest mouths around. I was in Trainland in Brooklyn a few years ago during one of my visits back to the city .  I wanted to go in person to pickup a NYC MTH subway set. While there I would listen to the owner have several phone conversations. I had to laugh to myself as it reminded me of my youthful days and the language on the streets. Every fourth word started with an F.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that New Yorkers don’t know how to be polite.  While growing up there you learn to automatically switch your language around depending on your environment and company. It becomes natural enough , and you don’t even have to try to do it.

Not to worry Alan....in da Bronx it's every 3rd word...

Yes, please do post pics/videos of the LC+2 K4. I just re-committed to my old one adding Cruise-M to it, so not in the market, just interested.

Funny thread. Probably a bit bit of a stereotype, but there is something to the faster pace of the Eastern seaboard that makes them seem, at times (and not all) rude to us in the Midwest. Even a recent episode of Two and a Half Men played on that....one of Charlie's ex's said she was being nice because she's from the Midwest. I run into this at work with some frequency. Sales reps from New England or Mid-Atlantic software and tech companies don't always gel with clients in the Midwest and, especially not in the Deep South.
