BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

TrainWorld Is Doing A VIRTUAL YORK Event On Facebook LIVE!

As most of us are disheartened about the cancellation of York this spring TrainWorld has decided to put together a Virtual York! I am a ritual York attendee and refuse that the Corona Virus gets the best of us.  That is why we are doing this "Virtual York" experience so we can experience York safely at home.  We will now get to see the manufacturers and vendors you are always accustomed to seeing!  Don't be surprised if you see some new product announcements, stories of York and even some special appearances.  If you do not have Facebook we will post the video on TrainWorldTV www.youtube.com/trainworldtv and on the O-Gauge forum after we record.

We were going to have Lenny Caparelli from L&L Model Train Restoration come on the show but he is having some health issues at the moment.  I just wanted to wish our good friend and brother a speedy recovery. If you do not know Lenny he is a tremendous artist and known very well throughout the train community.  Our prayers are with you Lenny!

I was a customer of Ken's Grandfather in the brick and mortar Brooklyn store.  Ken Jr. & his cousin Anthony have brought the shop into the 21st Century -  They are a pleasure to deal with on line and in person, with customer service like no other - and your online or phone order is in a carton ready to ship before closing every day.   Virtual York is another example of this hard work and forward thinking by the Bianco family.  Now if he could just arrange a steak dinner at Coombs on line.

Dont forget to join us tonight!

Go to www.facebook.com/trainworldllc  at 7PM EST and the live stream will appear on our facebook feed.  We will post the video on the thread afterwards just in case!

Tonights Lineup

Alan Arnold CEO-Publisher OGR Publishing, Inc.
Jeb Kriigel - Mega Steam - Make your engine smoke like a chimney!

Lou Palumbo The Underground Railroadshoppe - "Views from the Underground" Columnist - Will share A ton of stories about York!

We will be posting the youtube version later today if you dont have access to FB.

Dont forget part 2 is tonight!  Lionel Atlas Bachmann/Williams And MTH will all be on and even announcing some new product or maybe catalogs?

This will be the LARGEST FB Live show in Train Industry history.   I have done many and seen many but I expect the turn out to be nothing less then HUGE.  Last nights audience participation and viewing was off the charts!  Thank you all for making this possible!

I won't catch it live just like last night's, but will watch as soon as I'm able Ken. You guys did a great job talking, was really impressed and excited with what was going on. Liked hearing from Jeb, Derek, Alan, Lou, Mike, Roger and Dorcie(did I miss anyone, hope not).

Looking forward to the next bit tonight, hopefully things go well. I got my Lionel Challenger and hope when things clear up to send that in to Lionel. Maybe ask Ryan for me if they are still honoring that when everything returns to normal @TrainWorld.com

It would be great to see if they had some new products to talk about, but I would imagine that would still be under wraps. Hopefully everyone is all okay.

Take care and see this tonight at some point in time.

@TrainWorld.com

I tuned in last night and the presentation and it was entertaining. I understand the struggle of everyone who has not been doing this at home teleconferencing thing.

Would it be possible to edit the video input so it is not just an automatic switch to the person who is speaking? The way you have Zoom set up it switches to show whoever is talking. Almost all of the scenes of the BNSF layout operation was covered up because the commentary describing it was from another source. Also if it is possible to decide who is shown on Video would maybe avoid people not knowing that they were on video picking their noses, messing with the camera or whatever.

Is there an order that people will present tonight?

Thank you for doing this.

@Silver Lake I botched up the ending. I know how zoom works but after the amount of time testing and being on live my brain fried towards the end and I totally forgot if I spoke it would pivot to me.  That was my fault.

They can cut out there video so you dont see them but then I might as well have one person at a time.  It was the first time for a lot of these presenters so there is a learning curve.  It took Lou almost a week to just get him on, before the show we had to tell him just to dial in because his camera and lag was so delayed.  Theres a lot of time and effort that goes into these so we appreciate the feedback and patience.

If you dont have facebook you can watch the video here

@TrainWorld.com

I appreciate the work you did to organize and do this.

Like I say I know it is not easy especially when dealing with new to you tech. I know I'm dealing with this trying to stay in front of things with unfamiliar software just barely so I can organize work meetings now that I am working from home like everyone these days. Last night worked much better. Congratulations on the big viewership.

Thanks for your response.
