I would like to do a point to point on my layout with a trolley.  Is there a reverse wiring/relay setup I can use to do this.  Would I be able to use a Bachmann Williams Trolley and how would it affect the reverse unit.  I want to reach the end of the track, pause, reverse and go the other direction.  Then do the same at the other terminus.

Z Stuff makes a trolley stop unit and one of the electronic companies whose name slips my mind( OK, it is Dallee). Someone will pipe in.

I use to have one at our club(not Z Stuff) that finally burned out but the person who made it passed away. So we went back to the bump and go trolley.

DZ-1240 Auto Stop & Reverse Module

Gauge: Any

 DZ-1260 Water Tower Animator

Add automatic reversing and animation to a layout or display. The DZ-1240 Auto Stop & Reverse Module automatically senses trains with e-units at the end of the line and reverses them after a time delay. Trains can also be stopped and started automatically along the route without using sensors or isolated rails. The module can also be programmed to activate a horn or whistle at one or more locations along the route.

• Activates horn and whistle sounds
• No need for midpoint sensors or isolated rails
• Selectable time delay

John,

I hae a Bachman trolley and it works great. It runs on HO track but is actually  closer to S gauge, perfect size for ceramic houses. It uses an electronic switch  and a track trip to reverse with a controllable variable pause at both ends. As I said it works well when is works, but like most HO engines requires regular cleaning with alcohol and a Q tip. Last time I looked they  were on E Bay at around $140.00. Good luck.

First and just to be clear you do not have a reverse loop. Bump and go is not a reverse loop. Having said that if the trolley has a dc motor, most newer ones do, you can disconnect the reverse board and connect the motor directly to the track. If you then run the trolley of any DC power pack you could use almost any HO or better reversing circuit. Find almost any Walthers catalog and they will have them listed.
