I have a Railking PS2 Mowhawk that is not running correctly. I get it out each Christmas to run and it ran great last year. Tonight when I started it up the sounds were fine (engine sounds, whistle and bell) but the engine will not move forward or in reverse. I also noticed the headlight is off in forward but comes on in reverse. I tried adding and deleting the locomotive and also did a factory resent, but neither helped. Any other troubleshooting ideas?

Gee I'm no expert on these, but my (PS2) did the same thing and it was just locked in neutral. (see op manual for how to unlock it)
The fact the headlights are wonky suggests maybe it's time to reload the sound file. Since the factory reset didn't fix it, that's probably what I'd try.

You do charge the battery after sitting all year?
The address change won't stick with a dead battery. I'm surprised it loaded if the battery sat that long.
I'd suggest looking at the tether, particularly if the pickup rollers are on the tender rather than on the engine.
