I am looking at a 2 rail Crown Model boxcar/reefer ( box actually says distributed by Buffalo Creek Graphics)-and would need to convert it to 3 rail. Which company's trucks ( Lionel, MTH, Weaver, K-Line. etc) would best fit? Thanks in advance-turtle7

If you can find weaver use that ( that's what they came with ). I myself use the MTH trucks, order from MTH and the ship out fast.
The Weaver trucks are a direct fit. Expect to pay about 10 for a plastic set and close to 30 for diecast. Unless your doing 3RS make sure you get the couplers with them.
A better option might be searching dealers such as Mr Muffins. MTH reproduced the Weaver trucks a few years ago.
you didn’t mention the car. It may have come with roller bearing trucks for a later prototype. These are also available.
Try using the buy sell feature of the Forum. You may find someone looking to go the other way from 3 rail to 2 and just do a trade.
Weaver (or Athearn) would be the best trucks to use.
