Finally getting around to repairing my Plastruct 30” truss bridge built using Plastruct’s HO plans (enlarged to 1/48) that fell from a shelf a while back.
The first photo is the bridge damaged. It’s pretty obvious where parts came off; less obvious where parts separated from one joint, but remained intact at others.
The second photo are the parts salvaged and collected. As I’ve gotten into the repair, it’s apparent I’ll need to reproduce some of the parts. Fortunately, I have the plastic for the necessary parts—left-overs from the original construction; and, the templates and plans to make and assemble the missing parts.
The final photo shows the work done so far which consists of re-attaching the main track support elements.
When repairs are complete it will get fresh paint in time Christmas operations.
