does any one have a picture how they have their tvs hooked into their transformers. Looking to hook up power and want to see how this is done. I thought I seen a video on this some time ago but can't find it.i am hooking up a 275 zw and a 250 zw postwar running ground wire from one to the other to phase. also using fast 10 amp fast blow fuse in the line before and after dcs. So if you can help with this would help .

Couple of hookups shown below:

NOTE: DCS TIU has TVS protection.

First photo shows a jumpered terminal strip divided between Hot[green] and Common[white] sections that is used to distribute railpower to multiple track connections. The electrical  conductors are from the secondary output of a 180 watt PoHo. The TVS is connected directly between the Hot and Common posts on the T-strip [like a direct short].

The the second and fuzzy photo simply shows the "A" and "U"  binding posts on a pw ZW with the TVS connected directly between them[again like a direct electrical short---it won't]. A TVS would be needed on any railpower throttles of the pw ZW: "D" to "U", "B" to  "U",etc.

The best place for connecting a TVS is internally in the engine. However, one needs the skills and  confidence to open and work on electronic equipped engines.

Hope this helps.
