Continuing with the fantastic tour with Big_Boy_2005 and Mill City, here's some photos of the NorthStar passenger trains. We saw them first at ground level, then on a bridge over Northland Yard. I'll let TC folks fill in details as to the service and destinations. I know they start at Target Field and end at Big Lake.

We went over to Minneapolis Junction with the hope of catching a glimpse of 261, but the shop door was closed. As we were sitting in the car, I looked at the clock, and suddenly realized where we were. I said to Bill, "It's rush hour, the Northstar should be coming." He checked the schedule from his phone, and sure enough, within about ten minutes, there it was.
Up until then, I had only seen video of the Northstar. That was the first time I had seen it in person.
We saw two more go by up at Northtown. I think they only run 4 trains per rush hour, and we caught 3. Not bad.

It's a good outfit. BNSF crews man them, and I have redden several times with it being a very pleasant experience. The train handling every time I rode was smooth and there were none of the "brick wall" stops I have encountered on some other commuter outfits.
