Lionel two compartment tank cars have the domes over the middle of each compartment. Has any manufacturer offered a two-compartment tank car with the domes closer to each other which would have a short single walkway serving both domes? John

Some company made double dome cars. I have couple shells and bases but they are unmarked as to manufacturer. The base length is 8 inches and the tank length is 7 inches.
Here is a picture of a Life Saver car I made from one double dome tank car body and base.
You can see I added a walk way between the domes and a ladder on each side.
I regret I do not have the manufacturer.

Charlie, your car is Lionel. Rattler21 is looking for a double dome with the two domes closer together. Offhand, I can't recall any 3-rail tank cars in the configuration Rattler21 would like to have.

After a long search, I found this image. It is rusting away at a transportation museum. The walkway is on the side of the car, not between the domes.

Charlie, I am looking for a two dome tank car with the domes in a position they would be in if you removed an inch and a half donut from the area between the two domes of this car. Thank you, John
