We had two great Special holiday season charity Events today 12-15-12.  Earlier today, Bob VerHoef and Pam Richardson hosted a great  "Christmas in Iowa " open house and Train Show event in Leland,  Iowa .   Brett, age 15 of the North Iowa Make-A-Wish  (MAW) foundation was named the honorary engineer for the day.  Brett had a great day running her new Lionel Train set.     Bob and Pam 's generosity raised several hundred dollars to be donated to the local MAW Foundation.   Thank you Bob and Pam for hosting such a great, successful event.

Later this evening Woody and Madeline  Hickman hosted an open house event at their home in Dallas TX.  People brought non-perishable food items for the Frisco Food Services Food Pantry.  Bob "Choo Choo Carter and his wife Dinah were there enjoying the Lionel trains along with the camaraderie of good friends and LCCA Members.  Thank you Woody and Madeline for inviting our members into your home.

Thank you to all of you who attended and participated in these Special Charity events.  Your generosity is very much appreciated and will go to benefit worthwhile Charity organizations.  Thank you and. happy Holidays!

An all out effort was to make this Christmas open house bigger and better than last year. With the doors open one hour early, the familys came in so much we could hardly keep up ! The Make A Wish girl had so much fun and really made the day for everyone. The swap meet also went well with all the vendors going home Happy. My greatest Thanks to the LCCA for the help and support they did. always remember. the LCCA is the best toy train club on the planet
