Another lame question from the other side of the pond. I understand that the mark 2 MTH sound/command system does not inter-operate with DCC. How feasible is it to take an MTH loco and strip out the command system leaving motor, pick-ups, speaker etc and simply add in an ESU chip and re-wire ?Will the MTH motor run on DCC under this scheme ?

Sure it'll work. Rip out all the circuit boards and rewire it to the DCC decoder of your choice.
I've gutted 3 PS2 engines, installed NCE DCC decoders and they work fine.
I upgraded a PS2 engine to PS3 because #1) It was easier than a full DCC install and #2) I wanted the original sounds but there is no reason why a full DCC install will not work in a MTH PS2 locomotive.

For all of our lockdowns I've been able to use the excuse that whatever's left after the Winchester Meet can go in a new website.... Nope, no website yet! OK, OK, I'll get some pics, etc. Hmmm, maybe a newsletter would be easier?! Oh no, that's email ... nobody admits to using that any more!
