I'm finding that UCS operating tracks are very reliable, but when they fail, they are a bear to repair. I have one right now that has the ground end of the coil shorted to the coil bracket. I can't see how to disassemble the coil assembly, without destroying it. I would just as soon just buy a new one, but as far as I can tell, nobody makes one in O gauge. Is there a repo or new uncoupling/operating track currently made which will easily mate to tubular track?

In my area it is difficult to get $10 - $12 dollars for a clean UCS track with a rewired controller. I'd suggest looking for a clean, used one.
The original post made me curious.
I didn't see any on Lionel's web site, or on the first few retail web sites I checked.
I did see them on one site, but they are out of stock.
I have taken apart O-27 6019 remote control track to make my own custom made control tracks. Lionel also sells a cheap O-27 uncouple track #6-65149 that I have cut out the center rail with the magnet and spliced it into O-31 track. The control rails for operating cars I pulled from the old 6019 track and mounted into thin strips of bass wood using hot glue and hand cut wood ties

Thanks guys! Will look for good used ones. As to the make your own from 6019 tracks, Jim Barret wrote an article on how to remove the magnet and install it in Gargraves track. The operating rails can be added . I will have to check, but I used a set of control rails by,I think, Atlas inset into gargraves track to complete the track.
