This is a very touching story. Mason City is 25 miles away and was in the local news. A great way to honor a little boy.
I saw this earlier today. What an awesome story this is. Proud to be a UP fan that's for sure
If reading this doesn't stir your emotions, I don't know what will. I know that kind of pain and grief this family is going through. A huge thumbs UP to the employees and Union Pacific for making this happen for this little guys family! I think Union Pacific should take it another step higher and put Elliot's name on UP 8508, it's his now!

I would pay to help them do that ! Can we form a group of folks to work in this?
Wow, what a story! Something everyone should read! Thanks for posting it!
This story is in the latest Trains mag. I found it very moving!
Yes, very touching. Brought a tear to my eye.
This story tore me up, I hope that what the UP did helps the family in their time of grief.

very classy railroaders.
Wonderful story. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a good story I just had to share it with strangers at the gym in the sauna. They were moved. I encourage people to keep passing "8508" along. Nice touch Union Pacific.
Very touching.
