As a Pennsy fan, I enjoy collecting anything PRR related especially when it comes to steam! About a year ago, K&L Trainz released a fantasy Pennsylvania locomotive for PC train simulators called the FG-1. It was a concept born from the Pennsylvania Railroad’s experimentations with an N&W Class A and a C&O T1. As the Pennsy wasn’t fond of articulateds, they chose the C&O 2-10-4 configuration of which the J1 came into being. The K&L PRR “FG-1” is an articulated 2-6-6-4 variant of a Norfolk & Western design. Although this engine never actually existed, it’s a fine looking engine none the less! If Lionel were to ever consider something truly unique for a future Brass Hybrid model, I’d hope they’d consider this! With Lionel’s offerings of fantasy paint schemes on different engines over the recent years, why not offer a fantasy engine?

There are still prototypical PRR locomotives that have yet to be made.

Steam Locos such as the

D16 4-4-0

F3 2-6-0

J28 2+6-2

K2/K3 4-6-2

N2sa 2-10-2 (former usra 2-10-2)

2-8-8-0

I would hope that the powers that be make these Wanted PRR prototypical units first before any fantasy design units.

I don't see how one should affect the other; some say that the PRR 6-8-6 turbine should "not have been modeled because there was only one of them". I'm a NYC steam guy - but even I have an S-2 PRR 6-8-6 (Lionel Pilot version). Who could resist that thing?

The "FG-1" 2-6-6-4 above is particularly intriguing, as it is less "fantasy" and more "almost - but we went another way".

The PRR HC-1 2-8-8-0 on your list is a visual favorite of mine - but how could you have skipped the 2 huge-boilered K-5 Pacifics? The failed "Hudson beaters"? Heck - American Flyer even made an S-scale version.
