UPDATE - The Passing of an ICON in Toy Trains

Very sorry and surprised to hear about Don. I knew him from all the METCA events,

plus his show in Dover. He always had a good word to say, a nicer guy you would

not meet. He will be missed by all, especially METCA members. Thoughts and prayers

Very sad news indeed. I know Don was looking forward to the TCA National Convention to be here in NJ in two years. My condolences to his family.

Very sad indeed. Don hasn't bin at the last couple of shows in Dover.He will be missed. 

I've known Don for about 2/3'rds of my life.  He will REALLY be missed, both in the train world as well as a personal friend.

Years and years of the Dover show, and other METCA and TCA shows Don will be missed, I'll let my boys know. My prayers to Don and family, may he rest in peace.

And, as stated above, such a sad time for all involved with the convention, I know how much Don would have love to see it come to fruition.

Don will be sadly missed. I used to take tables at his shows in the 80's when I just started building models. It was always great to drive up to Dover early on Sunday morning. It was a madhouse moving all the merchandise in. I always felt he ran the show very well and was always pleased with the turn out.

WOW! My deepest condolences to him and his family s well! I remember him from the MEtca and the Dover shows as well. I also remember him stopping at the NJ hi-railers in Patterson as well. HE will be missed. Will his Dover shows go on?

Sincere condolences to Don's family and friends from all on the OGR staff.  He will long be remembered for his many contributions to the hobby.

I fondly remember Don Brill as the organizer of the Dover NJ Train show that was normally held in the Dover HS gymnasium on Sundays. That show went on for many years, although like most one day NJ train shows it had been in decline for some time.  Don certainly was part of NJ Train Show history and was an active TCA member. While his health declined Don was still was an enthusiastic train collector and could be seen at York riding on his scooter for the handicapped. Don did many good things for the hobby and now that he has gone home to meet his maker, may he be remembered for those deeds. Rest in peace Don. My sincerest condolences goes out to the Brill family.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Brill, I didn't know him personally but I always received mail from the Dover show with his name on it and I always saw him working at the Dover show and at other shows. He will be missed.
