did a test fit of the P&D fix pilots today on one of the A units. As you can see from the photos the coupler rides a tad low. This might be acceptable. the pilot in my opinion is way to low and two close to the tracks for comfort. I'll be shaving the bottom to bring the gap between the pilot and track to at least 1/8 inch. Also those lips in the back will need to go so the pilot sits flush with the frame.
As for the number boards. I have the inserts, can anyone tell me where I can get the numbers made up to fit inside?
Kadee 743 on order for the A to B to A connections. The rear truck is real close to the back. Fitting the coupler boxes in with clearance will be interesting.
