Gentlemen,
Guns, GGG, RJR, and others, I am in the process of trying to upgrade my Special Forces Engine, as far as I know it's the only Engine like it. It's an old post war Engine that I would like to move the shell, on to a Legacy or P2/P3 frame work. Is there an Engine I could purchase and simply swap out the shells, so that my SF Engine would then be either Legacy or DCS P2/P3 Engine.
Some advise would really be appreciated.

Thanks much for the advise, I appreciate it. I will look at the MTH F3 Engines in P2 or P3.
How about a Legacy P3, man I would really like to have this shell over a Legacy Base Engine unit. I know I am asking a lot.

Unless Lionel does a cast frame Legacy O27 Alco, you're not going to find a drop-on replacement. The O27 Alco's are much smaller than the F3's Lionel or MTH put out.
Would probably fit OK (with maybe a little work) on a LionChief O27 Alco.

Thanks much for the input, however it's not making my day. At this point you can not run a Lion Chief Engine with the Cab2 Legacy HHRC. I do hope they make the bridge work some time, even more I want Lionel to make an 027 F3 Legacy Engine, so I can do a direct swap of the shells.
Was there a TMCC F3 Engine produced at any time?
