I am designing an Atlas O 3-rail track plan. I am able to use all stock pieces except one. I need at 5" piece and assume I can cut down a 5.5" piece. Can this be done and still make use of the track clip at the end? Does anyone have a copy of the instruction sheet for Atlas AT6057 Snap Lock Clip which might also explain how I could do it? Thanks.

All you need to do is take a razor saw and cut the "stringers" from between the third and fourth ties from the end and slide the track lock tie off the end. Remove additional ties are required, then slide the snap-lock tie set back on to the shortened track section.
Thanks for the reply. After I make the cut and slide it back, can I assume the rail joiner holds it in place.
There are Atlas tie pieces (6057) that can be added to the end of a cut piece. Click on the underlined phrase to access the Atlas image.

Yes. It will be fine. We do it more frequently than I like. My fifth grade teachers fault. Fun with Fractions.
Thanks. Just saw your website. Good luck with your new venture.
