Hi all, if someone has a Fastrack layout that uses the plug in Lionchief DC power adaptor connected to the female barrel jack on the fastrack section can it be just unpluged and the connector connected to an traditional AC transformer? Also does Lionel have a  part number for the cable that has the malebarrel jack onit and spade connectors on the other end? thanks

If I understand the question:

The plug on the power supplies are molded into the PS wall wart.  Lionel does make a 10” track section terminal strip, that has the connectors for a transformer.  Or, you can buy your own barrel connector and roll your own, but the Lionel size is different than what I would call “standard”.  The center contact is larger diameter(5.5mmx2.5mm).  FWIW, I just wire to the bottom of the fastrak sections using the .110 connectors, and don’t use the barrel connectors.

This is the easiest thing. The barrel adapter is just screwed onto a piece of fasttrack and connected with the under track contacts.

Just take the barrel jack off and solder wire onto the leads that come off the track contacts (or buy the transformer wires that lionel sells).

If you really have to have the barrel jack, MTH 50-1037 is what you're looking for.
