So do I , Have that car along with a yellow and blk UC box car and another UC car that I bought at the gift center. Was trying to post the picture to photos and videos,
Sitka, nice brewery. What didi you use to make it?
Thanks Joe, Will get back 2 you on where I got the building sides, It was like 10 years when I made it, The sign Is balsa wood painted black and the letters from a craft store (micheals craft store) . then primed gray then spray painted flat red the walls, From what I remember the building sides came in different sizes, I have a few sides I think I still have where i bought it. The Brewery was started in 1888 and still going strong.
The real Utica Club Brewery has a train track running down the middle of the street next to the building, and a spur track off this line that runs inside the brewery. They still get grain deliveries by covered hoppers. I have seen pictures, the hopper and the engine go right into the building. It is the Susquehanna railroad.
I love beer history. Also beer.
Here's an idea for a model railroad beer scene: an O scale Morgan Freeman and other prisoners enjoying a cold beer on top of the roof of the prison in the Shawshank Redemption movie.
I often think of that scene when enjoying a cold beer. Arnold
Great idea Arnold! I too enjoy that scene.
Thats schuyler St. My dad and uncle retired from the west end brewery, My brother still working, After I retired from the U.S. Army I worked and enjoyed it for around 7 yrs. Thanks All
Here's a great video!
That looks like a DPM building kit/parts.....Great job and kudos to you.....they are challenging to build....

"Utica club, Utica Club, wins 2 to 1!" went one memorable jingle on 1950's TV.
This is a model of the specific locomotive (NYSW 3040) that services the FX Matt Brewery in Utica NY.
The 3-Rail models are in stock today and are conveniently located here: https://jrjunction.com/product...1-1-nysw-gp-40-3040/
jrjunction trains, You repaired a couple of my MTH engines, Nice shop Guys, By the way how is Dan From the Old K & K Shop?
Used to go on the tour in the 70's with my friend from MVCC. You'd get two drink stubs. We'd each get one beer and one root beer, both excellent. A pub near my school in Potsdam had UC Dark on tap, my favorite.

Last I heard, Danny is doing fine. We miss those days!
@Sitka I love the uc brewery model; I wanted to make my own for years now. I mapped out the entire brewery on paper to HO scale and it ended up being too large for a layout. Do you have more pictures of your layout? And would it be ok if I stole a couple of ideas from yours make a version similar to yours? I'm not sure if I'm going to do in S or HO scale.
I shared an apartment with three other guys when I was in college and the “house rule” was you bought your own beer. Well, I quickly tired of them “borrowing” a beer or two from my cache in the refrigerator. After some experimentation, I discovered none of the other guys liked Utica Club so, that became my beer of choice. 😉

Back in the day I did some business at West End Brewery and was on site regularly. I thought that their "Matts" brew was pretty good,as was their "XXX Ale".

"It's tough to argue over a Utica Club...cause they put too much love into it"and "I Love Shultz & Dooley"
A couple other UC advertising jingles from the 50's and 60's when I was much younger and living in Syracuse.
Do they still have the Brewery tour? UC/Matt's Premium/Saranac...Good Suds
john dougherty, I can send more pictures of the brewery on my layout, will do over the next day.
Thank You for the likes, After I retired from the US Army I worked at the brewery for a few years,
Thanks Mark
Do they still make the Matt's Beer Ball ? Use to buy them back in the 80's.
Utica Club -- Used to drink it in high school; it was cheap @ $.99 a six pack. Good beer (Bud, Miller High Life & Schlitz) was $1.25 a six pack.
"Oh brew me no beer with artificial bubbles, those carbonated beers of today...
at Utica Club they still take the trouble, to brew beer the natural way...
Utica Club...U...C..."
Another jingle, Walter J. Matt [Wally] (now deceased), FX's brother and my boss, used to sing them while in his office!
An "I Love Shultz and Dooley" bumper sticker adorned Wally's office door... Memories....
Yes they still brew Utica Club I very large amounts due to its popularity. No more Matt's beer ball or beer though. They were doing tours but I think their halted right now due to covid
@Sitka yes please
I believe they also brewed the forgettable Billy Beer. Not very long though.
Pete
Billy Beer yes they dis have a couple six packs of Billy Carter, Now your going back in the 70/80s.
God Speed!
I think the Saranac beers are brewed there.
If interested,go to: www.saranac.com to visit the UC site.
Of an interesting note, they offer neat beer mugs with different caricatures. They change all of the time. There was a train engineer at one time.
I have had the Schultz and Dooley mugs for many years, dating from my time living in Syracuse.
