I've seen on the North Lima topics a number of members live in Ohio. The reason I'm asking is, I've been trying to find out if anyone here remembers or knew Vernon Smedley Sr of Smedley Chevrolet in Vandalia and visited his train layout in his home that he often put on a huge outdoor Christmas display? My grandfather worked for the dealership and I visited his house as a child in the 80s maybe early 90s and that is partially what inspired me to get back into trains a few years ago was that memory of his collection and layout. It would just be neat if any of you also ever remember that or were a personal friend of the family. I've tried searches to see if he was a member of the TCA or another organization but really I just would love to hear from someone who knew and remembered that and if they were friends of the family.

Again, just wondering if anyone ever got to see that massive collection (well as a kid how I remembered it) the glow of all the lights and the switch controllers.

I know I'm reaching but I hoping with this large audience maybe someone has info or even better, pictures or stories.
