Saw a short article about about vert-a-pac cars and thought some may be interested. I do remember seeing these in the 70's when I was a kid.

Neat, but I missed being able to see the new colors every year. It made for boring waits at the tracks for the caboose. (In Detroit, those trains would pass in groups of nothing but auto carriers, seemingly all day at times).
My buddy still has his little Vega woody wagon.
....but it sports about 250- 300hp more now than when he drove it home
