Since I turned on the steam chest steam on my Milwaukee S3, my engines have not been running as well; they want to slip and loose traction.
Ran my J and L foam roller track cleaner over the layout and I have never had so much black stuff come off. It took four fresh rollers to get clean track again. Turned off the steam chest smoke and no more problems. The smoke must put smoke fluid on the track too. It gets shot on the two outside rails in think amounts so it makes sense. Check your track if you are using this feature and decide if you are having this problem.
I run without the feature now.
