CNJ 3676,

Thanks for the video and history. Interesting locomotive. It is nice to see another piece or rail(& army) history saved.

Has anyone done these in O?

Quite some number of years ago, what appeared to be a pair of these sat on a spur track outside of the Wilmington & Western in Marshalton, DE. They wore a blue with white stripe paint scheme if memory serves me. I don't know if they were operable or not. And I am not sure were they are now. I have seen them in their previous location in a couple of years.

Thanks again.

That Military Railway Service website is a superb resource.

Former USATC Whitcombs still remained in revenue service in Italy in recent years.

That was an excellent link.  I read about the 763rd in Europe during WW2 and the 765th in Korea.  There was a photo of one of these Whitcombs being unloaded in France shortly after the D-Day invasion.  The first Allied train to enter Paris and the first one to cross the Rhine were pulled by these little guys.
