Video playback on the forum

The Portland RoseOGR Forum Member

Seems "grainier" and less "hi def" than it has been in the past - at least when played back on my IPAD.

Has anyone else noted a difference? Playing back directly from You Tube still yields "hi def" results but playing from the forum site yields a reduction in clarity (at least on IPAD 3).

Either the forum website or you web browser on the iPad is compressing the video into a lower resolution format. Try viewing the forum in "desktop mode" as opposed to "mobile" format and see if that makes a difference.

BTW, I notice no difference when viewing on my iPhone. But the iPhone is obviously a much smaller screen.

I have not noticed this.

If you EMBED the video into a post here, the video which plays is playing directly from the YouTube web site. This site simply provides the window in which the YouTube video plays...like this:
