Back in the days before cable tv and the 500 channel universe, Lionel advertised on TV. Here are some examples. In these commercials there is lots of focus on rocket launchers and other early 60s Lionel.
I remember Marx commercials from when I was a kid and there are a few of those here too. In particular I remember the "By Marx" tag line.

Thank you for posting the video of the Flyer commercial with the picture. I do not know how to do that.
They are so cool and they bring back some memories. It is hard to believe that some of them are over 50 years old.
The F 3's Santa Fe I really remember that one because that is what I wanted but never got from Santa!

I agree, these commercials are timeless.
Gee. we had probably the second TV in our little town, and it's a wonder we didn't
get radiation burns on our eyeballs from sitting practically noses against the screen,
and watched TV....all the kids' shows, westerns, for sure, and Super Circus, etc.
And I never once remember seeing an electric train commercial! I feel deprived!
