The photo is a short metal rod with gray engine color. It looks like antenna wire, but can't find an obvious spot onn the engine. Can someone look at theirs and give me a clue. Thanks in advance.

it is probably a piece of cut wire left over from the repair? does it run ok?
That looks like add on pipe detail , that attaches to a pump on the side of the engine

I'm curious about this. I don't have mine yet but I would post a picture if I did. I took a look online and it is difficult to see anything without a closeup shot. Can anyone post a picture of engine where the pipes are so there can be a comparison?

Not electrical for sure. The exposed end has no solder or indications there of. It looks like it fits in a tight hole or etc....
Hard to tell, but it looks to me like the a piece of a resistor or capacitor lead that was cut off. The right end looks shiny and a bit tapered in your picture, like the mark made when the lead is cut off. Probably replaced a resistor (or capacitor) in a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and cut off the excess lead length.
Just in case you are not familiar with an axial lead resistor, have included a pic.

Not electrical, that is an exterior detail and probably piping. The painted surface apart from one end gives it away; that end is meant to fit in a mounting hole somewhere. These can be very diffucult to track down - MagnaVisor time! Look in the location Alex M mentions, also around the trucks and the front of the engine. I’d guess that if it isn’t piping it’s a handrail.
