Hello Everyone,

I am new to these forums and I'm hoping I could get the best advice here

I have a 2002 RK Bantam Blue Comet 4-6-2 (30-4084-1) that I purchased used from a good friend who took good care of it. Last week when I was done running it, I did the shutdown. The next day I went to run it and nothing. No lights, no sounds, nada. I tested my PS3.0 4-6-0 to make sure it wasn't my remote or sensor connected to the track and those worked great. I replaced the battery in the tender, thinking that could be the problem. My only thought now it could be the board.

So I would like to replace the PS2 Board to a PS3 and have several questions. Is this easy to do or am I going to have to send it in? If I can do it myself, how much is this going to break the bank? And which board (part number or from which engine) would be the best replacement, both space wise and sound. I love the whistle that this engine had.

Or is this all a waste of time and do I have dead engine and lost money? Thanks for your help in advance

Thank you all for your replies. I only have the basic DCS Remote that comes with the starter sets, so I can not do any special features the fancy remotes can do. I only have a PS 3.0 4-6-0 and this PS 2.0 4-6-2 and I don't have plans to get any more. Would it be worth it to purchase one?

Yes I tried running it in conventional mode and still, nothing happened.
