had the NJ high rollers set up and in the video there was a run of flat cars that had two sherman tanks on each car, heck must have been fifty cars all with two shermans

not sure how accurate this was, the Sherman weighed in at 33 Tons give or take 100 lbs,  66 tons on one flat car, wouldn't that have been tough to do??

Depends on the type and capacity of the flat car. I can't quite make out what the capacity reads in your photo above. It looks like it could read 80,000 lbs. (40 tons), so, two tanks would overload the car. A different type of flat could carry more tonnage and two tanks.

Yeah so, who cares how many tanks ?  All I could think of was how many of those handsome movie star like dudes are on this forum.  To be honest, the son Mat, was very impressive.  What a well spoken person.  That kid should be a spokesman for Lionel or something.  He already masterminded the building of a 185' by 48' layout.   I really liked his persona.  He's got a future in something to do with trains.  Nice job NJHR .  Awesome layout.

was just curious because i am in fact building the model of the Sherman tank and have already weathered the flat car,  got to find chains and tie downs but close to 67 tons just has to be a stretch  this is off the cover of the tamiya box

but that is down the road a bit, still building terrain and laying track.  that layout sure is impressive heck their straight runs have more footage than my whole layout and i have only five ross switches but one big monster switch cross over
