Here's a weaver troop sleeper that I just finished. It started as a C&O MofW car, I then blanked out some of the windows, added a scratch built smoke jack and added a Chessie "C" as I'm modeling the Chessie System. Then a heavy weathering job to finish it off as the pics I have show these cars in a pretty ratty state. Here's some pics from start to finish:

Nicely done Ben.  For 2 railers the most noticeable upgrade on Weaver war emergency cars is to narrow the trucks.  Weaver used the same bolster and axel length for both 2 and 3 rail versions and as a result the side frames stand unnecessarily out near the car side.  (Shared bolster tooling between 2 and 3 rail versions was a common complaint of 2 railers - after years of comments on the AtlasO Forum they now use narrower trucks under their 2 rail cars).

I removed the swedged on side frames with a drill,  shortened the plastic truck bolsters with saw cuts, shortened the axels by grinding, and reattached the side frames to the bolsters with epoxy.  If Weaver had used screws to mount the side frames the project would have been easier.  It will be interesting to see what if any changes AtlasO makes to the tooling when they produce their war emergency cars.
