Happy Weekend Everybody!  It is time once again for Weekend at the Movies.  Last weekend was opening weekend for the Bergen County Model Railroad Club's Pearl River Train Show.  Here is a video I shot highlighting some of the trains to hit the layout.

Now, lets see your videos!!!

The QA&P Quanah switcher has delivered the night's work to the FW&D.  While the switch crew went to beans, FW&D #151 stopped to fill at QU and has picked up the following:

bulkhead flats filled with wall board, hoppers of bulk gypsum, and cars from Frisco #537 (mostly tires from the Goodyear tire plant at Lawton).  Next is Coors beer down from Golden, CO in 50' plug door boxcars.  After that is tonnage from the sister roads down from Wendover, WY.  And finally, agricultural loads from Amarillo including anhydrous ammonia, grain hoppers, and tanks of corn syrup.

I think an old head from the Denver road would actually recognize this train from the past...

Trains in action at the Eagle Academy Charter Elementary School, New Jersey Avenue Campus, Washington DC on Thursday, February 18. Kids had a lot of action, too!

Here's a closer look at the Conventional 0-4-0 heading up the "Breakdown freight." This was a special LCCA offering some years ago, and I haven't run it much. I really liked how it operated, though, and it will get more use.

You can also see the tell tales from the Operating Brakeman cars. 4 were in the freight train consist on the innermost loop and proved to be a real kid-pleaser.
