AGHR is holding our Open House this weekend. I spent a few hours there on Saturday, and got to see a lot of trains running and a lot of visitors. Here's a few pictures:
scale rail posted:Jake, wonderful looking 1615. That was the last train of two my Pop bought for me when they came out I think about 1956 or so. I wanted an engine with the coupler in front so I could double head with my 2026. I was about twelve years old then and my Dad thought I was a little old to play with trains but I got it anyway for Christmas. If he could see my collection now. Thanks for brining back some nice memories. Don
Thanks Don, that's a great memory to have.
Another weekend is here and almost gone. More eye candy and my finger is sore. Some new faces and the return of some old and some MIA. but like Cheers, life goes on as with this thread where everybody knows your name.
Putnam Division pays tribute to Fred. Scott gives us Halloween tinplate while walt rapp has more nightmare before Christmas and falconservice delivers pumpkins. Alex M goes into the textile business, scale rail gets ready for a grand opening and t8afao gets a love shack. Norm Charbonneau and Ralph M gives us Pennsy Power and mike.caruso is still stuck in his garage. Christopher2035 reminds us of the beauty of 611 even in the rain, PennsyPride94 takes us on an excursion and Lionel Grandpa spends the weekend at Horseshoe curve.. Max Warfel shows of his SD70M while Bruce E. Vincelette and Roger Wasson gives us a great pictures. SJC shows the return to service of 2055 after rebuild and Paul Moore gets bored. As always great layout photos from trumptrain, Liam, MDuppy, PhilInAustin, while frizzinbee takes us to an open house. t8afao has gone green while franktrain enjoys the night. The cool photo for me is from D500 who shows us what a real rail fan looks like. As always everybody's contributions are great even if your not mentioned. So unlike the fall colors of Mike McCutcheon 1/1 scale layout, I bring winter at its best with some Northern Pacific action.
