Welcome to Weekend Photo Fun!!
I started my expansion of the tinplate layout this month a year ago.
When you take into account that the club was closed for 3 months this year we did make a lot of progress.
Let's see your pictures

Conrail MP15DC #9624 is a highly-detailed, smooth-running model that was offered by Atlas O (1813-1) in April 2008. Conrail caboose #22131 is also by Atlas O. A short, simple train that fits on my 10’-by-5’ layout.

Today I have some views of the layout that you’ve never seen…nor have I! I am building the last section of Altoona, which is located in a corner of the layout behind the curved staging yard. I always knew that I would have to cut an access hatch to build the scenery in this area, and I finally did so a few days ago.
So when I first popped up through the hole, I was stunned by the view! Here are pictures taken in both directions. Usually, the yard is packed with trains, but with work in progress to complete Altoona, I had to empty out the yard and park the trains out on the mainline for the past few months. Note the 8th Avenue highway bridge crossing the tracks in the first image that I've posted pictures of over the past month or so.
There is also a shot of the right side of the warehouse that will surround the hatch clamped in place, and the front wall still under construction in my workshop.
Finally, there is an image of four of the trains just parked out on the mainline waiting for the work in Altoona to be finished so that they can pull back into the staging yard. Until that happens, I won’t be running any trains on the layout.
Starting to add some additional buildings to the temporary layout for the holidays and wire up the lighting.
Wow! Great stuff so far!

A 2019 Christmas Layout memory
The front part of the much larger than this Christmas section of the layout.

A couple of closeups
Nothing remarkable about this one. Except...it hasn't seen a track in 10 years I'm guessing. This was my very first TMCC loco and found it on the back of a shelf with some older train items.
Lionel GP30 bought new in early 2000s?
It has been "Conrail Time" on the layout for the last 2 weeks......
A few short videos......
Have a great and safe weekend, folks!

Marty which smoke stack is that?
Sirt your do it yourself trains are better than what's being offered these days.
The M.T.H. Railking MONON auto rack on a TRAILER TRAIN flat car that I bought from Mr. Muffin's Trains.

Conrail put away.....time to break out and test the Christmas Trains!
The public train display goes up later this week.

I found a Virginian boxcar that’s not blue. Looks like someone dropped it end first off the layout. White Water Valley Railroad.
Peter,
Yours is one of the nicest Christmas trains that I've seen. Great job accumulating those pieces.

Hey Walt, have you started the holiday layout for 2020 yet? I imagine that takes quite a bit of time and it’s already mid-November.

Norm I love what your are building but with the Altoona area you really need to include the Boyer Candy Factory specially now since the own the rights to Clark Bar!

Rick,
Never thought of that, but I've stopped in there many times to buy candy. You can eat chocolate and railfan at the same time!
