I have been working on my lit up version of the CP Holiday train for a few years now. Was interested when MTH released the train in O gauge but I had already done much work on own version and decided to finish it rather than buying the new MTH train. I have been trying to get as close as possible to the real lit up train. Used a Williams’s engine and repainted several Weaver box cars all in the CP Red paint.

For the name I had plastic etched with the letters then used Red LED lights in the ends to light up the letters in red.

Used EL wire to do the out-line of the engine and box cars with the solid color. On the real train they change colors and flash on and off. I have some EL flat light sheets from Miller Engineering I am doing the images on the sides of the box cars. I started with a Santa and Reindeer and will do some more to match the real train. I use clear address label sheets print the images and then peel and stick them to the EL light sheets. The stars are actually a nice Blue color and can be set to fade in and out.

I have lots of images of the real train over the years has been similar in design but note have not seen the 2017 version in person yet but the on line photos and videos show they have made extensive changes to the lit designs on the cars.

I am working on an animated stage car and the lights for the passenger cars.

This is a completely scratch built structure I started a few days ago, it's going to be the Pam Am building and it will sit on the NJ Hi-Railers layout once completed. You'll notice in the pictures I use many levels , clamps , and squares , anything I build must be plumb, level , and square, or it's not worth building. The footprint is 48 high , 39 wide , 10 1/2 deep. Frame material is primed pine 3/4 by 3/4 glued and nailed , I'll be posting progress pictures every week

Two customers with Atlas and new Lionel C&EI cars -FLAGLER & FLYER?                                                     Must have been a rare scheme, never seen one even in any RR archives. Not sure about the proper color either?

Thought I would share this completed test run. Darstaed A4 “Lionel Spec.” Mallard.

Equipped with Lionel smoke unit with Mike R upgrade(scientific now...😏). Guns Super Chuffer and ERR Cruise Commander with small engine Railsounds (for nearly British sounding whistle).

Many thanks to all those on the forum who helped me with this including Guns, Dr. ZW 😏for the Rohs EU spec. boards. Hopefully will have a happy little boy on Christmas Day.

Have a great Weekend.

The boxcar in the photo makes it "train related".

We got some "snice" (snowy ice; icy snow). Looks silly on palm trees, too. Just one county north of Mobile, though, the video of the snow looked like Colorado - big, fat, fluffy flakes swirling and blowing and covering everything. There is still some white stuff on my roof: 1:00 PM.

So, they threw a big Winter storm and all I got was this:

(I also see now that I have a date with my power washer this Spring.)
