Happy Weekend Guys!

Great looking scene Patrick, I'll be over to help clean up those between the rails weeds.
Jack
Ray - That's a really cool picture! Does your dad like trains too?
Art
I spy two switches hooked up now (nice jumpers BTW )! My switch count is still, zero.....
Peter, a journey of a million miles always begins with a single step. I will be setting my very first piece(s) of track today. You're still light-years ahead of me.
Gilly
Alan,
can you post a link to your home layout
thanks
Scott, Notch, Jim Sutter, EngineerJoe, Ray, & Christopher, it was really nice seeing those photos of people with whom you have shared the hobby. I think that is important.

Up on a roof....
Nice details up on the roof there Rich!

Yes my Dad likes trains and got me started. The picture is my son and me. My Dad took the picture. He couldn't climb up for a shot.

Patrick:
That is a spectacular scene.
Love the pictures of all the layouts. Back in the summer my family and I rode on the Middletown and Hummelstown Rail Road. When entering the railroad you see the different engines they use. It is right outside of Hershey Pa. Have a great rest of the weekend.

When Rich stretches the coal a bridge too far.
Rich, nice "double-take" pic!! Had to look twice but totally a perfect pic! Very realistic!! Great JoB!
The roundhouse is preparing for Easter!
In reality, it's just a paper template (the wife had scrap booking supplies she didn't need) to cut the real roof out of 1/8" hard board.
Scott.smith, Is your son "channeling" the painter EDWARD HOPPER 1882-1967????
WOW, looks just like the style of his famous COMPARTMENT C, CAR 193, 1938, CHAIR CAR, 1965, OR THE MEN in Fedora hats in NIGHTHAWKS, 1942. A very Humphery Bogart private eye, gumshoe. Now THAT is a photo that moves me.

Matt:
Beautiful pictures of your layout. Lots of detail.
I just returned from Australia. Here are 3 photos that I took in Sydney Central Station. I will post more photos on this trip when I get time.
Marty and I were in Florida recently and went to Magnonia Park Station to watch the Tri-Rail train.http://youtu.be/WnmP5BTLB8g
Thanks for the video Dotty. It was nice to see the Bombardier passenger cars.
One thing for sure, not matter where you and Marty go, there will be trains nearby, O-Scale or otherwise.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why they call it Tri-Rail?
Art
Art, I have heard the name was a result of the train going through three different counties. Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade. That is all I got and I am sure someone can be more accurate. I love watching these beautiful trains. The state of Florida has many O gauge train guys living in it.
I heard the same thing when I lived down there. It was either that or that it served the three metro areas: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm.

Thanks, guys! Those passenger cars sure are colorful.

I want to say thank you to you. The real reward for me is now sharing these toys. There are times I would quit if not for these little ones fueling me!! It reminds me of the times I thought toy trains were magical. They still have some of that magic.... somedays
Dotty...AND...Marty....
Can't wait to see you two again at York. I hope we can get together with the 'group' like we did last time...LaKeeta and I really enjoyed it.
Dotty...the video was great..thanks so much!!
Alan
Alan, same place and same time on Tuesday. It will be good to catch up to you and LaKeeta again. I bet Barry already has our reservations in place.
We had fun with the Tri Rail trains. A few years ago in Florida I was picking Jim Barrett up for a photo shoot when a Tri Rail unit passenger train passed by our car. I have not seen that train again. Hopefully some Florida guys can throw out some info on what the train was and some pictures for this section.
Marty & Alan,
I bet Barry already has our reservations in place.
Not yet, however, I'll be polling the group to get a headcount pretty soon!
Scott:
I agree with the others: Excellent photo. Very evocative. I'm sure you'll have it framed n' hung in the house somewhere!
FWIW: I wish you and Joshua lived closer. I would do my best to get it cleared with the RR for Joshua to ride with me in the cab on a passenger run.
Very nice display Mikey.
What are the AA pair of diesels below the Daylight steamer at left please? Are they Southern Pacific as well?
Hi C Sam,
These are SP Sheels on Lionel 2343 Chassis that I got in the 1970s when Post War was king.
