Don,
Nice job on the Empire Diner. I was working on a K-line kit years ag but then along came the Joe's Diner telephone so that halted construction on the kit. I know a lot K-line kits came from predecessors. Which kit did you start with?

It's a kit bash of the Lionel diner kit from a few years back and parts from the junk box it is wrapped with white neon and has a full interior.
Here are two of my last York purchases. MTH GP38's now equipped with ERR (no sounds yet). Changed out the lighting for LED's and added 3D printed Shapeway's ditch light fixtures with nano LED chips (non oscillating at this point). Removed the unprtotypical roof mounted flasher and filled the hole. Needs to be touched-up with some paint next time I break the airbrush out.
Love the propane refinery and all the switching points.
Great looking layout.
Good luck, John
Wasn't this thoughtful! LCCA sent these things to thank me for my participation in their "Switching Tracks" program. I love this club - it's so member driven.
Had a nice afternoon at the club today. Brought out my 3rd Rail H1 Northern for it's semi-annual appearance on the club layout (it's kinda delicate so I only bring it down occasionally). Here it is right before being put back in the box.
One of our members managed to obtain a couple of cast brass builders plates. He has another Baldwin plate that he polished (which he'll bring in next week), but these un-"restored" plates have an aura of history associated with them. They're from French locomotives built by U.S. manufacturers under the Marshall Plan after WW2. He's trying to get hold of one from Alco, but they only made a handful of locomotives.
Had some problems with a few Weaver livestock cars I had 2-railed last week. Turns out they were seriously underweight. Here's the string after running them Wednesday for additional testing.
GEF, Nice work. I think you have more projects going on at the same time than I do.
