Have a great weekend everyone! I recently purchased this MTH Premier CNJ "Camelback"...only the 2nd steam engine on my roster. And yes, it will definitely make it's way through the "weathering shop" at some point!
This week I finally brought my new H10-44 engine to the club. I pulled my Menards flat cars. I wanted to make sure there was no running problems with the cars. I just bought about a dozen military vehicles and don't want to have problems after mounting them to the cars. They run great. Will have to buy another 4-pack of flats to fit all my military loads.
A 2016 Christmas Layout memory
Continuing with the summer section of the 4-seasons layout. A fun day at the park.

WOW!! Nice photos everyone!!!
Christopher - Love those Elizabeth NJ and Redbank station pics!!
Here's my contribution from Patsburg and the Free State Junction Railway. Click on photos at bottom to view captions. First photo is a Bollman Iron Truss Bridge decorated in Christmas lights in my home town of Savage, Maryland. Second photo is the model of this bridge on the Mountain Div of my layout.
This was my 1st York show it was a lot of fun. Brought the whole family from NH along and did other things in the Lancaster area too ( it's a long car ride). The Standard Gauge pictures are from the Toy Train Muesum. The bottom 2 photos are from the Lionel York booth, pre-production samples.

How are done w/ April already? Had another busy week so didn't get much done. I did manage to work on the 'Elizabeth ' area on the layout. Adding some ground cover. I have to add some weeds, a couple of lamp poles & some trackside debris this weekend.
Red Bank Station at night. Red Bank, NJ is a stop on the NJT North Jersey Coastline - the ex NY & LB

Christopher:
I know you grew up in Red Bank so let's just say this boy who grew up on the other side of the Navesink River appreciates all these great NY&LB and other CNJ photos.

Any info on this Polar Express village?

Not to steal Scott's thunder since he posted the pic, but since there were no price cards in his pic, I'll mention what I saw today in case Scott hadn't inquired.
When I saw those in the hall today, they had a notecard next to them that said $1600 for the set of 6 buildings. Looking at what was there, I assume the 6th "building" is really the arched structure in the second picture. The tree (with base and compass) had a card next to it stating it was $180.
Here are some add-ons for the Disney Lion Chief Christmas set from last year (which was pretty prevalent a the meet for really good pricing if anyone hadn't bought one yet)

York Loot.......good stuff at great prices.....
Not seen.....A RailKing D&H SD-45 which Mr Muffin will mail to me.
A York Hot dog with Ketchup......I waited till Saturday.....I could put the ketchup with less chance of being seen.....
I also ordered Dennis Brennan's Oblong Box Company kit.
....and best of all.....visiting with great friends, and meeting more Forum members.
Peter
Love all the York photos!! Thanks to all who posted them!! I could not find time to get away to York either this past fall or this past week. Well ... there's always next year!!
Peter - Hot dogs are like train layouts ... in that, its ours ... so we should be able to put anything on that we like and enjoy I sincerely hope you enjoyed that hot dog with
ketchup
My granddaughter Lorie Frances is showing off her "train training " hat.
Her train training will begin soon. Lorrie Frances will have an advantage over her two cousins (my grandsons) who live on the west coast. She only lives 40 miles away from the train training class room, which will allow for many more visits to granddaddy's train room.
Have a great week and if you live in southwest Tennessee today will be great day for staying home out of the rain and working on the layout.
Take care,
Richard
I just learned I'm a nobody!
Christopher, I'll agree with Steven; growing up a bit further up from the Navesink I really enjoyed your pictures! Great memories. We'd always board the train at Matawan for the trip into NYC; always loved changing over to GG-1's in Amboy.

With all the great things there are to photograph at York--we get three, now four re-postings of a half eaten hot dog?? Rather sad isn't it.

Scott we can see trains anytime but a hotdog with ketchup!!!!! Peter you could at least covered it up with chili, cheese, krout and some onions.
I'm a ketchup and mustard guy. And a toasted New England style Frankfurter roll.
RULE #1: Mustard on hot dogs.
RULE #2: Ketchup on burgers.
Rick
I love "frankforts" grilled in butter on a New England hot dog roll...and we can buy those here in Pittsburgh, and I do make them..,ala Howard Johnsons. And with a pot of baked beans and a slice of brown bread.

How did you catch the elusive SA31? It always seems to evade me whenever I try to catch it. When does it come through Farmingdale? Like a certain day?
