The Montour Railroad interchanged with the Pennsylvania, Panhandle Division, near McDonald, PA. You would have seen Montour Hoppers powered by Pennsy.
Panhandle Trail to Burgettstown, PA.
Interchange is below, and west of the McDonald, viaduct. Picture from the connector trail.
I bike both the Montour and Panhandle trails all the time Mike, and I'm sure Montour hoppers would have been seen frequently on the Panhandle. Now the Middle Division is a different story, especially for the locos. In any case, that stretch of the Montour Trail between McDonald and Southview (near route 50) is my favorite part of the trail.

That's a nice tradition that speaks well of both of you.
Do you do like we do in our house and ask beforehand, "If I were to accidentally buy too much for Valentines Day / Easter / Halloween / etc., what should I buy too much of ?"
Enjoy it.

Working the track on the subway line.
Lost photos of the A.T.&S.F.
While looking through some old photos this evening I came across a folder with our MR S3 #261 crossing under and behind the HellGate bridge. These are good shots of the locomotive as well as the waterfall we built against the background. There were a total of four lines of track running here.
I finally got around to converting five 2 rail O Scale freight cars I picked up in Chicago during the O Scale show to 3 rail.
There is not very much variety or availability of IC rolling stock in 3 rail.
I found a nice IC 40ft box car, an IC 40ft reefer and an IC stock car.
I am not sure who made the kits but they are signed by Frank Midkaff.
O Scale 2 dome tank cars are non existent in in 3 rail. I found these 2 dome tank cars at the show.
The Tydol Veedol tank car is by US Hobbies. The Texas Company tank car is an undecorated Presission Scale brass model. A friend painted and lettered the Texas Company tank car for me.
All the cars have Atlas 3 rail trucks installed on them.
Thanks and and HAPPY EASTER to all.

Finally got my black Legacy 844. While not the whistle steam version from a year or so back, it has a awesome some unit and roadnumber specific crew talk. I can pair it with a sensor car and never be the wiser. Red lens to be installed.

Good post Ben.
Ben, "The Beginnings" shot is a wonderful view of the NJHR layout skeleton hiding under all the great scenery work you guys have done. That must be a pretty old shot.

The 611 and the most unique mix of passenger cars I've ever seen, not sure if it is cool or ugly yet
Reminds me when AMTRAK took over the passenger business in 1971 and ran all of those rainbow colored trains.
