Starting early again. Here are more buildings I have been working on this week for the tinplate layout.
Here are some older pictures of some of my Clinchfield locomotives.
Let's see your pictures.

I only have one image this week. Found it while going through my files while setting up a PowerPoint program about my layout for an NMRA clinic. I think more than any other photo I've taken of the layout over the years, this one just screams "Pennsy" at you...
Hope everyone is safe and be well!
Great shot Neal - maybe it's just me but even the "4 track main" has a Pennsy look and feel to it - thanks for posting
Great pics guys!! Here is my fun photos for this weekend ... entitled "Night and Day"
The 1950s
A peek at from behind the bushes as to what's going on with the MOW crew.
B&O F3 idles while waiting for a green signal.
The solar eclipse again as it passes.

These little switchers get the job done!

Thanks so much Ted! Much appreciated!
A piece of local history.....Rowlett’s was a bicycle shop in Richmond. They opened in 1917 and closed in 2012. As we all know, bicycle shops frequently carried toy trains in the PreWar and PostWar eras. I acquired these when I bought a local collection.

My River City 3 Railers club car arrived yesterday. I ran and photographed them together. Probably the last time all of the cars will be at the same place at the same time.
I originally planned for all to be PS-1s. Before I could get them ordered, only four undecorated Atlas cars were left. Mine is the 40' USRA car. These were painted and lettered by Christine Braden.

John,
I would definitely say your photo screams "Pennsy" at the viewer. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with constructing all of that catenary! Great photo!

Great detail, SIRT. You have probably posted about this before, but can you tell us about your R. H. Macy structure?
Here is another oddity that I find interesting.....those of you who are Super O fans might like this. The picture is of envelopes of various Super O track components. I acquired these in a collection from a colleague.
Look at the one in the lower left. It appears unopened. Lionel made transition sets for railroaders who wanted to switch to Super O track gradually, still using their O gauge or O27 track sections/turnouts.
Have a great weekend folks.....and stay safe.

PS......I'm going to drive over to Gilly's and pick up my RC3R boxcar!
A 2019 Christmas Layout memory
Don't know why but I've always liked having the bum camp on the layout. This was the 1st year that I had a relatively large space for it.
OK, yes, this is a duplicate image but I just had to get the slinky dog picture in
Marci's photos... in Napoleon Oh.
great shots
NE corridor and the great broad way!
A Southern Railway F-2 AA is getting ready to pick up a train in Washington, DC, it's northern terminus. Some of these cars came off a through train from New York pulled by a PRR GG1. This SR train will go through Atlanta and end in New Orleans.
The cars are Lionel, and the Atlas engines are painted in the 1941-1949 Green/White with double bands scheme. I have not found any reference that the SR had any F2 diesels (they had FT and F3), nor any EMD F diesels painted in this scheme. But they do look good.
As old man S.K.N.Flint, CEO of General Door and Sash looks out the window from his 3rd floor office, he might not agree with that sign in the parking lot as he views that group of employees standing around down below. It's spring and the rush on making screen doors is starting and production is not keeping up with orders. He may have to have a word with works foreman, B.A. Hardcase to see why he is paying those fellows to shoot the breeze.
Just for Fun

I was bothered by the photo I showed for this week's submission. Their is nothing wrong with either the content or the composition-ignoring for the moment that some of the poles are not straight and the lack of catenary..all that will be fixed soon. But what is wrong is the photo lacks any artistic interest. It's just bland! I can't reshoot it for now with more dramatic lighting, as that whole area is under construction leading to the catenary install. But I can play around with photo shop. So here's what I ended up with:
Just fantastic stuff on this thread. Great scenes by all.
Scott, did you rattle can all the houses?
Sirt, great building, love the elevator.
Alex no signs of rust after 6 month layoff.
The first 2 photos are custom buildings by artist, Richard Starsonek.
Freight on the move.
Unloading at the Home Depot.
A view down Main Street
Pausing to watch the train go by.
Lots of great shots and craftsmanship.
After working on my layout this afternoon; I got an urge to run a shelf queen.
My 3rd Rail turbine hasn't run in more than 2 decades. So here it is hauling passengers while a Berk handles some reefers.
A few quick shots from our running session yesterday...
