Its a beautiful morning here in the western NC mountains and the new arrival pulled in last evening - our first Legacy steamer!

As much as we anguished over liquidating our K-Line Hudson, the proceeds enabled the purchase of this handsome LIONEL PRR K4.

It will bring the A.T.& S.F. into the 'modern era' in electronics and sounds.

My current project is re-lettering stack cars and repainting containers.  The containers will be lettered for my road and for O gauge manufactures.

I also needed to adjust clearances for the Husky stack cars to run on my layout.

After modifying the base of the pedestrian stairs, I had just enough room to allow the cars with containers to pass beneath...

Because an All-American town like Liberty needs an All-American hero, we've enlisted the services of Captain America...

And here is a shot of my new C&O GP-7

And here is an older shot in black and white I found while going through my photo file. I don't know what it is about boxcars, but I love them.

Taking a spin around the layout this morning in observance of Natl. Train Day enjoying the comfort of B&O Observation 'MERCURY'. The new PRR No 1361 provides the motive power to our excursion and performs quite nicely.

Oh waiter - We'd like a tall gin & tonic and a sweet tea for the lady.

cbojanower,
I like your pictures this week. The one of the UP NEAR OGDEN reminded me of the high range of mountains to the east of the town. I flew in to Ogden on a corporate jet to visit Kimberly Clark and remember how pretty the site was. When we left the pilots really poured on the power to gain height for us to head east. I think we actually made a big circle to get high enough. Beautiful part of the country. Thanks Chris for sharing.
