This was parked on a siding behind the plant where I work. It is MOW equipment belonging to the Canadian Pacific.
It would make an interesting piece to model!

The replacement power truck for my Amtrak/DOT Turbo Train arrived Monday afternoon. Greased it up and re-installed it in the locomotive. Now it's back on track (pun intended) and runs great. Can't wait for its stablemate to arrive later this year.
It seemed well suited for the mountain branch which runs in a loop-to-loop arrangement. The nice thing about this trainset is that you don't have to turn it around.
Jim...you are certainly "rockin"!!

Carl...beautiful picture. Can you tell us more about the Jason's Publishing Company...scratch built, kit, combo???

I've been working on putting together a juice train. Right now I have 13 Tropicana reefers and now I painting and decaling some trailers with home-made roadrailers.
Here are two MTH 20' trailers that I finished...six more to go. These two have MicroScale HO decals. Some of the other trailers will have home-made decals.
Neil,
I always enjoyed your work and throught highly of it.....but after my visit to Harrisburg to ride 765 I like your work even better!! It was my first rail fan visit to the area so I now have a better understanding of the area you model. Great work...
Finally got some sunny warm weather to work on outside track layout
was able to finish placing the rocky bordering river bed between my two tables.
Last three photos taken before I had to tarp things up once more and get out of the rain
On a rainy Friday night, I was going through a box of track I picked up recently. Though you might enjoy this.
I have some old Marx track like that too that my father bought for me when I was a kid in the early 1960's!
SIRT,
My grand kids are the reasons I went deeper into toy trains. The kids love to run trains on my layout. Start thinking about a starter set for your grandchild. Santa brought sets for my grandchildren when they were 2 years old.
Some new model shots from my last trip to Arizona..
Great photos everyone!

I'm old enough that I remember Dad taking me to the HUGE Sears in downtown LA and buying Marx USED track with the black roadbed for TEN cents each! Good times!!! THX
Had a few people over to run trains yesterday
After a marathon work session, I finally have my Auto-Train consist upgrade to LED lighting:
The last two cars are from the second run of Superliners (with the black-painted window frames). These had a tan-colored insert rather than the gray of the earlier run, hence the different color.
I actually have four more MTH Superliners, plus four each of K-Line and Lionel versions, but they aren't going to be part of this train, and thus are a lower priority (but will eventually get upgraded too).
Now all I have to do is install the motorizing kit in the dummy Genesis unit, and put the Evans LED's in the lead unit.

(and clean up the living room--it's been a year since I took the test track out of service in order to stage the cars for this project)
