Joe A, nice work on the Rutland boxcar. I had to double check who was posting because it looks like SIRT's work.

Alex another fine build. I have one of those sand houses still in the box.  I bought it from Ernie Korber himself at a long ago train show at Stony Brook University here on Long Island.  Whenever I get around to building it I hope it comes out half as good as yours.

Wow, thanks Coach Joe...that’s some really high praise!  Steve (SIRT) has been a major influence/inspiration on me getting involved in weathering.

It's a warm summer evening in Spencer and we see Myrtle waiting for her husband to pick her up after work.  A young lady is in Sportsman's of Spencer getting golf lessons from the pro and some tips on a new set of clubs that are sure to improve her game.  Wardell Buffet, Warren's younger brother, is catching up on the day's stock market results and wishes he had invested in railroad stocks too.  And traffic is moving again now that Spencer's new traffic signals are working at the corner of Main and Fourth Streets.

I like that there is a story behind what we are seeing. Hopefully Wardell finds something to invest in.

It's A day on the layout today! N&W #1234 with a string of empties is headed west when it meets #1218 headed east with a string of loaded hoppers.

Here in Spencer, NC at S. Salisbury Ave. (N. Main St out of Salisbury) and 4th you will find the Little Choo Choo Shop selling toy trains.  Across the street is the NC Transportation Museum (Old Southern Shops). No Wardell Buffet that i know of.

Some bonus picks from this past weeks Team Track Tuesday...

Here are a few shots of the town of Port Royal. Most of the structures are done, though I have a few more houses to build. First photo shows three kits where I chopped off about the front inch to use in front of the backdrop. The second photo shows two full size buildings. Sully's Tavern is right out of the box and not a kit and the corner building is a heavily reworked MTH structure.

I build my towns on 2 inch thick pink foam in the workshop as evidenced by the furnace, tools, etc., in the background. When done, I drop the whole town into the layout.

Lots more work to do...sidewalks, utility poles, street weathering, but it's getting there...

Frank, Pat and Mark D, great pics again. You guys are an inspiration to how scenes should look. PRRMIDDLEDIVISION, your buildings are well done. Tonight I decided to add two braces to the back of the angular building I am working on. Once I glued them into place I turned the building on its side and used my trusty weight to hold them together till the glue dries. Mark you can see once more I was still too lazy to go use the table I built for this exact purpose. Still hoping sometime tomorrow to cut the roof and base and glue them into place.
