It's Friday and time for WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!
Yesterday was Joshua's birthday and of course as always he wants trains;
This week we continued working on the multi-gauge layout.

Several winters ago on the WMSR I took this photo. Sure do miss 734. Hopefully 1309 is up and running eventually. Have a good weekend, everyone! Cheers.
A 2017 Christmas layout memory
An overall view from the opposite corner than I showed last week.

Frank, your modeling skills continue to amaze me......
Thanks very much for saying that, Gandydancer. The many wonderful products available, like all the foliage in the Scenic Express catalogue, as well as my own memories that pop-up when I see some of the products, inspire me to make the various vignettes. Roadtrips to Upstate New York and throughout Pennsylvania afford me many moments of inspiration, too.
For example, wandering around Brake Hill Road, near Cortland, NY, instructed me about crafting these logging/forestry vignettes...I did the best I could do, and admittedly, took plenty of creative-license, but still had a good old time of it.

Port Royal takes shape. The concrete arch bridge in the first photo is just a foam core mock-up used to help lay things out. The second image is a photo of the prototype bridge and town taken from approximately the same vantage point about two years ago. As you can see, the four track mainline of the Pennsy was down to two tracks by then, with the foreground track being out of view. The station was torn down years ago, in 1969 by the Penn Central.
For those of you who are interested, the third image shows the location of Port Royal within the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
I'm guessing the project won't be done at least until the end of the year.
Splendid, Bryan. Looking at that fine work by you, I can hear it, also.
Great stuff, everyone!
