Nick your pic's are not showing up!
Oh goody, it's HONGZ WPF time!!
I'm still in a V scale mode. Trying to get some basic scenery in place in segments of my "Frisco Line: Circa 1889" route so I can run trains among some eye candy. Later I'll go back in and start adding bridges, horses and wagons, misc. details, and such.
Anyway, here's what all has been accomplished over the past week. (Note, these pictures were taken within the Route Editor and not within the actual simulator.)
First up, Talihina to Bengal, Indian Territory, which is a helper section both ways over Winding Stair Mountain...
Next we jump about 150 miles north to the Ozark mountains and the Fayette Jct., - Fayetteville, Arkansas area. Fayette Jct., is where the Frisco's "St. Paul Branch" leaves the mainline. Fayetteville is a neat little place that's going to have some very interesting switching situations. In between Fayette Jct. and Fayetteville is McNair, which was an interchange point with the Ozark & Cherokee Central RR (a prototype line)...
That's all fer now!!

Extra GN4001 East observing the 20 MPH speed restriction as it crosses COD viaduct, just west of Noname ID in August, 1952.
Model notes. The Great Northern 4001 Challenger is made by Sunset Models. The viaduct in this photo, and further down this thread is made from three Micro-Engineering viaduct kits, including tower extensions to go four stories high on two of the towers.

That's a sweet picture.....
Running about 30 minutes behind Extra 4001 West, shown in the post above, was Train #30, the North Coast Hiawiatha. The train is running over 12 hours late, and was issued orders at Worley Spokane which gave the Extra 4001 West authority over it.
Also running behind schedule, and also issued orders at Spokane giving both Extra 4001 West and Train #30 rights over it is Train #50, the Southwestern Star. The locomotive is a recent rebuild out of GN's Hillyard backshop.
Model notes:
The NP passenger train has an Intermountain F3 in the lead, with Intermountain F7B and F7A as the trailing units in consist. The passenger cars in the consist are Challenger Limited, and is the 1948 North Coast Limited 10 car set.
The GN passenger train is a recent acquition, with a Broadway Limited Great Northern S-2 4-8-4, and the passenger cars consisting of a Walthers baggage car, and then six Bachmann Spectrum cars, all equipped with body mounted Kadee couplers, and American Limited diaphraphms.
