This weekend we have our granddaughters. Allyson and Sophia are 4 and 2 years old respectively. We live in Brisbane, CA, which is on the southern border of San Francisco. We drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sonoma County where our oldest daughter and Son-in-law live. We picked up the girls on Friday and brought them back down to our place. They spent the night and then we headed about 45 miles southwest to the Lemos Farm. It is a large farm along the rural Pacific coast. One of the farm's big crops is...pumpkins. They put on a big production for the beginning of Autumn and Halloween...especially for the kids. They have a hay ride, pony rides, homemade pumpkin pie, hot apple cider and many other things. How does this relate to trains? Well...they had a ceiling-hung G Gauge train running in their main building. The also had a (sort of) tour "train." We did all the activities with the kids and had some "punkin pie." It was a lot of fun. My wife and I were exhausted by the end of the day! It's been a long time since we had 4 and 2 year olds around the house. We love our grandkids...and God Bless them...but it's a relief to be able to "give them back" at the end of the excursion. Happy Halloween everyone. Matt
