Here is what Santa brought me! The engine is unpowered and the lighting kits are not installed. It is also dirty from shelf-wear. So, the project begins!

beautiful George!
one of my favs
Nice set George! One of these days I'll run into one of those, either the Williams or MTH.... I have a couple of sets of the Lionel 1685/1687 cars and i like those alot too.
judging by that stack of project boxes there's probably not much you DON'T have.....
Hey now, I have a train addiction 😎 It can't be helped!
oh yes you can dennis,,,,with more trains,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!
TeleDoc posted:I recently finished getting both colored frames of the early Lionel-Winner Lines freight cars (red & black frames, of the same series (1512,1514,1515,1517). These were used with the 1588/1588T clockwork, or the 1689E by Lionel. The cars were listed as early as 1932 from the Winner Electric Train catalog. The top row of the complete sets was just the black frames alone. The lower photo is comparison of both framed colors. The 1514 at top has NO “Baby Ruth” loco, nor Lionel stamping, (presuming this is the early Winner issue).
This second 1514 has the punched-door handle, Baby Ruth logo, and Lionel stamping
The next is a side by side comparison of both 1514 boxcars
The 1514 boxcar without the Lionel is from the Ives 1006 set. Now all you need for the Ives winner series with black frames are the other three Ives units and you will have it covered. The Ives tank car is not a Sunoco unit.
Yeah, it's kind of like my 2 car garage with three cars stuck in it....
that said I have been trying find some space for some sidings 👍
My Early Prewar Lionel (1915 - 1924) Standard Gauge No. 33 Engine and O Gauge No. 150. Transformers are Dongan Electric Co., Detroit MI (circa late 1920's or early 1930's)

I love the tin cookie houses with that train!
I have had some problems with my new (very old) 262. I finally tore the whole thing down and sprayed the motor with electric motor cleaner made for RC cars. It still did not work, but turned more freely. I took a break, then came back and looked at the pick-up rollers. One was bent. I put a small screw driver under it and popped it up. Well, look at at the results! It moves like a jackrabbit!
I also got my lighting kits installed. One issue for tomorrow, my driver screw keeps unthreading. I need to add a dab of lock-tite.
George
straight pins and paper....did these on a few of my locos
Dearborn David's first photo is truly a beautiful Christmas card with the extra nice 33 and 150! BRAVO! :-)
