How long is this engine shed? John has one on his layout and I think I saw it on yours once. Where will you be listing it? There is one for sale in the UK at a reasonable price, but the shipping could be $$$.
George
Some French tinplate on the layout- a Joustra Autorail (battery powered) and a Charles Rossignol (CR) 700 electric loco. I've posted pics of the Joustra Autorail previously, it's one of several that I have in my collection. Joustra made them in both clockwork and battery versions, in several different colors and configurations. The battery version used an old type of European battery, so this one I converted to run on a trio of AA batteries (which just fit inside the original battery compartment along with their holder). Some videos of it running are also included.

George, the footprint is 19.5 x 9. I will try posting it here when I get a chance. Right now dealing with my moms estate is a mentally and physically draining priority for me, so not much time for trains. I have a bunch of CMT to sell also.
Steve
sorry to hear that Steve. Unfortunately it looks like well will be going thru this with my mother in law son.

My mom told me her will and trust were all up to snuff. Found out otherwise so the state is bleeding us dry and taking forever. At least I can sell the house, but have to kick my brother out in the process. EVERYONE, if you have not already, pay the $$$ and have yours and your families wills and trusts reviewed. CA changed some laws a number of years ago to make sure they got their share of your inheritance that you thought may have been safe.
Steve
Thanks Steve. Sorry to hear about your mom and the estate...

Sorry to hear anyone having troubles with elderly parents. I went through that mostly around 2008. I would recommend using a good elder care lawyer.

Oh man, two curves short of perfection. How could that happen? Sounds like a title to a dogs playing cards painting. Two curves short. Or a punk rock song. I’ve hit a snag, but I’m quite certain it’s not insurmountable. We shall persevere, adapt, improvise and overcome. In the meantime I suppose it might be handy to locate two curves. Cheers.

Just hate when that happens.

Ok, now I’m dying to run trains. Just call me Two Curve Willie. I got your back. Just lay me some track!

That is one I don't have. Very nice, didn't they make a green version also?
Funnily enough after this a nice green one came up on ebay ... I had a go at it but was pipped at the post by a crafty bidder ( curse these UK auctions that finish 5am Australian time ! ) To make it worse to mitigate shipping costs I was bidding on three clockwork locos with the same bidder and got pipped on a red Brimtoy Britannia as well... I did bring home the booby prize tho ... a Silver Streak version of these ( I already have one LOL )
Ah well Next Time !!!
Dave,
Very nice, but that first Pennsy steamer in the video looks too perfect! Will you be grafting a GG1 shell on it soon?
Tom
Dave, WHOW !!! nice layout... it looks better than on pictures, thanks for sharing it with us,
Very best, Daniel
Tom....not only no, but **** no...that's my one and only modern steamer, an MTH Rail King PRR M1a that I got off a forum member in 2005. Now......if you have a spare GG1 shell you'd like to donate to the recently unemployed...I'm sure I could graft it onto something.
Daniel, thanks for the kind words, it's just plain old green (mostly) plywood. Hard to get good pics, and videos (my first one)....the train board takes up most of the basement, and I do need more lights.
Now we are getting somewhere. Funny how that happens. I went searching for two curves and two straights to use the crossover. None to be had locally. Come home, reconfigure and bingo, ready to roll. I just need to knock this together, connect a couple skinny wires from track to power, in my case a powerhouse and TPC3000 and Cab1. Gotta run trains in the Lazy Boy man, I mean what’s the point. This layout is probably better anyway. All my stuff is original prewar and there is no sense in ‘bangin the diamonds’ with such nice engines over the ninety crossover, it is a bit rough, although that does bring a certain excitement that a simple oval may not. I hope my guy’s whistles still work. Having fun. Will post in next weekend’s edition.
Cheers W1
