Picked up a rusty Marx light tower and one of their newer derricks with a rusty roof. A little paint and then combined to two into a tall gantry crane. This is my second one. My first one used the earlier crane unit and needed no painting..

Hey Steve. I have the components to make one of these. Does the crane rotate on the marx base or is it  stationary ?

I use some spacers to get the crane just over the tower railings and then a single screw with a nut and washers where the original eyelet was. This allows it to be rotated manually.
