Need to find some more ugly Lionel water towers for some other areas.

You remind me of something I heard about Tom Sefton's layout in San Diego.  Everything on the layout was Lionel - he collected only Lionel trains.  Except water towers.  He said, "Lionel made lousy water towers".  He had Ives water towers on the layout, the only Ives he owned.

Yours looks really nice - the red really dresses it up!

I've never encountered a tinplate Marx water tower.  Surprised he didn't make one?

Wasn't "Lumar" a Marx brand for stuff they produced in Japan?  The first electric train I ran, my older cousin's, had one of those water towers, and I still have it.  I never saw a similar protoype for locomotive filling.  Even then I thought it looked like a small town utility water tower and not a railroad appliance.  I never liked the transparent plastic Lionel towers, either, which I wonder if Sefton included in his comment?  ((I have kitbashed and use a lot of the Lionel "kit" towers on the square ( now round or octangular) pumphouse, though)).  I can't now picture a Plasticville water tower, but they must have made one.....
